We’re All Mad Here’s New Dress!
I wore my new We’re All Mad Here (WAMH) dress to a mini-meetup in the city on Sunday! This is the outfit I would have worn to the Halloween meet if we hadn’t been so horribly thrashed by Hurricane Sandy. You can keep your Thanksgiving, I am still in Halloween denial and will be until Christmas.
Dress: courtesy of We’re All Mad Here | Stockings Macy’s | Blouse: Angelic Pretty (hand-dyed by me) | Bolero: You’re My Present | Hairbow: Chocomint | Fluffy bat: Milky Way | Shoes: DIY lavender glitter by me
This is my first dress from We’re All Mad Here and I am really impressed. The print is perfect, all of the bows are excellent, and the fabric is the same kind of high-quality satin that Aqua Princess was made from. I would easily say this dress is one of the few indie brands available that is legitimately brand-quality and worth every penny. Not only that, mine is custom-sized to fit me and the designer, Eden, made the dress by hand. It makes a beautiful lolita dress, but it could easily be dressed up for a night out or look at home at rockabilly night at the club. For the next coordinate, I’m thinking I’ll dress it up with my pearls-and-chains Putumayo belt, a Gothic band t-shirt, my pink Doc Martens and perhaps something studded for a punkier look.
If you’re looking to purchase one, this dress is called The Betty! Check out We’re All Mad Here’s Tumblr post to get your own.
We only had a few girls at the meet today but I am so pleased that I met new people I click with! I accidentally ran into Rune, who I have been dying to meet. We were both feeling the skulls today…

We went to an adorable Japanese sweets & teahouse called Spot near St. Mark’s Place, right across the street from Trash and Vaudeville. So much good food in this area if you like Asian food – pho, ramen, shabu shabu…
Upper photo: apple crumble cupcakes! Lower left: Nina & I! Lower center: Rose petal and taro macarons. Lower right: Kiki (who I love to pieces) and Petrina (who I also love to pieces)
As we were leaving we ran into this… panda?! I don’t know who this cute girl is, except that she went to the Big Bang concert the previous night (needless to say this means I am as jelly as a Jello Jiggler). And this is a perfect example of why I love New York City.
